Residential HVAC
For homes: air conditioning, air duct cleaning, air ducts, ductless systems, furnaces, heat pumps, indoor air quality, maintenance, zone control systems.
About us
At Big Easy HVAC, we are a full-service air conditioning and heating company that has been serving New Orleans and the surrounding areas for many years.
We provide AC installation, repair, maintenance, and other HVAC services to homeowners and businesses across the metro.
We are open Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 3:00pm, and estimates are free on all of our services. If you would rather talk it through, call 504-285-5606.
Fifteen services across two sides of the business, all of them covering New Orleans and the metro. Each one has its own page.
For homes: air conditioning, air duct cleaning, air ducts, ductless systems, furnaces, heat pumps, indoor air quality, maintenance, zone control systems.
For businesses and property owners: cooling, heating, maintenance, refrigeration, sheet metal ductwork, ventilation.
Three steps: what happens before the quote, what happens on the day, and what happens afterward.
We come out and look at the space that needs to be climate-controlled, then work out what size system it calls for and where the unit should sit. We go through the options with you, a programmable thermostat or an air purifier among them, before any figure is agreed.
Once the system is chosen, our installers fit it and seal the ductwork as they go. We run it and test it before we leave, because a system nobody has put under load is a system nobody has checked.
The job does not end at installation. We handle the yearly tune-ups, the repairs and the seasonal checks that keep a system running through a Gulf Coast summer.
Four things we would want to know if we were the ones calling around.
We have worked on equipment across New Orleans and the surrounding parishes long enough to know what this climate does to it. That is the difference between guessing at a fault and recognizing one.
If a repair will hold, we say so, and if it will not we tell you that before you spend on it. You get what we found, not a recommendation with the reasoning left out.
A single home with a failing condenser and a business on a maintenance schedule are both work we do. The fifteen services we run split into nine residential and six commercial.
Estimates are free on every service we run, with no charge to look and no obligation. Contact us today to arrange one.
New Orleans and ten nearby cities. Each has its own page with the services we run there.
The farthest point we cover, roughly 80 miles out. It also runs measurably cooler than New Orleans in winter, so the heating side gets more use here than on the coast.
The parish seat on the North Shore, and a town with a historic core and a ring of much newer construction around it. Those are genuinely two different jobs.
The seat of Jefferson Parish, on the west bank across from uptown. Much of the housing predates central air, so the question is usually where the ductwork can physically go.
The largest city in Tangipahoa Parish, about 45 miles out and sitting between two metros. It carries a real commercial side alongside its residential streets.
On the south shore of Lake Pontchartrain, and home to the airport. Post-war housing means the duct run usually crosses an unconditioned attic, which is where the problems start.
A river parish between New Orleans and Baton Rouge. Hurricane Ida in 2021 means a lot of local equipment shares an installation date and, in places, a flood history.
A nineteenth-century shipbuilding town on the Tchefuncte River. Much of it predates mechanical cooling and sits on the water, which shapes both halves of the system.
North Shore lakefront, founded in 1834 as a retreat for New Orleanians. An exposed lakefront lot and a sheltered street inland are different conditions for the same unit.
Northeast of the lake, a few miles inland and near the Rigolets. On ground with a flooding record, how high the outdoor unit sits stops being an afterthought.
The nearest river parish, about two miles from the Jefferson Parish line. Residential streets and working buildings share the same few miles of the river corridor.
In their words, from our testimonials page.
We have had a lot of problems with our attic fan and air conditioning this summer. We called Big Easy HVAC on Wednesday, they came by within an hour to check it out and the tech was back at work straight away Friday morning replacing what needed fixing! The service is great. Highly recommend!
Big Easy HVAC is a company that delivers excellent customer service. They have come out to our home twice and both times were really helpful with repairs as well as seasonal maintenance services such as air conditioner installation or furnace repair! The staff here are professional, considerate people who make sure you're taken care of before anything else happens.
My experience with Big Easy HVAC has been wonderful. The team was quick to come out and fix my air conditioning when it went down, they kept me updated on what needed fixing while doing so! And also pricing things fairly. I will definitely use them again next time around.
